Well, So much for Ryan Walters' efforts to keep gay porn out of schools!
Late last week, an obscure local right-wing blog out of Texas reported that Corey A. DeAngelis – a Texas-based school privatization “evangelist” who has rubbed a lot of elbows, and possibly other things, in right-wing Oklahoma political circles the past few years – secretly performed in gay porn in 2014 under the name "Seth Rose."

Naturally, Corey is good buddies with Ryan Walters.
Like many anti-public education zealots and profiteers from Texas, he used Oklahoma as a testing ground for national public school defunding efforts. The OCPA even gave him the coveted "Citizenship Award" in 2022!
Ryan and Corey often chummed it up on X like a couple of swell pals:

That’s surprising because as we know, Ryan loves to spread and flame misinformation about the LGBTQ+ community, claiming they and other woke leftists want to indoctrinate kids by inserting gay porn in public school libraries. Like, you'd think he'd be excited that he found a real-life gay porn star trying to influence public education!
But, alas, we've got nothing. Not even a tweet from Ryan blaming George Soros for spreading fake news about his friend!
If only Corey were a teachers' union rep, worked for the U.S. Department of Education, or—gasp!—taught in Edmond Public Schools, maybe Ryan would feel comfortable splooging the story around social media with his Libs of TikTok lady!
In a way, I guess you can't blame Ryan for not advancing the story. You know, with pics like this all over the Internet:

Yep, the guy who helps craft Ryan’s warped, manufactured, not grounded in realty assault on “ThErEs a GaY AgEnDa AnD PoRn In ScHoOl LiBrArIeS!” messaging hangs out with gay porn stars. You’ve gotta love GOP hypocrisy and projection, right?

Listen, right-wing internet commenter, I’m aware that sharing pics of politicians with people who have questionable virtues – you know, like those of Ryan with his old campaign manager who pled guilty to sex crimes – is common low-level gotcha journalism.
I also want to be clear: I’m not trying to sex-shame anyone here. Whether it’s straight porn, gay porn, or that weird anime porn, if that’s your thing, go for it. It’s a free country.
Well, unless the Heritage Foundation and the MAGA people get their way.
That being said, going from porn to educational administration is a weird career transition, and I don’t think it’s wrong to let the public know that some people who want to control their kids’ education have jerked off on the Internet for money.
Also, as someone who enjoys highlighting the hypocrisy and projection of today’s MAGA GOP, I think it’s fair to point out when those who go out of their way to manufacture, advance, and exploit anti-LGBTQ moral panics for their own political gain then turn around and associate with people engaging in the same behaviors they claim to morally oppose.
